Industrial Maintenance Electrician/Mechanic – Philadelphia, PA

Southwark Metal Manufacturing, Philadelphia Division (located in Northeast Philadelphia) is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Electrician/Mechanic to join our team!

The ideal Maintenance Electrician/Mechanic must possess manual dexterity, an eye for detail and problem-solving, knowledge of electrical components, mathematics, mechanical aptitude, and respect for safety precautions and rules.

Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Perform electrical repairs on production equipment.
• Ensure the work area is clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
• Adhere to common safety practices, including the wearing of protective equipment as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.

Requirements:

•  Experience with basic electrical systems (starters, fuses, contacts, relays)
• Experience with electrical systems (installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting)
• Experience with working on equipment from 440vac through 24 volt, plus an understanding of DC voltage.
• Experience with product manuals (reading and applying knowledge to make repairs)
• Experience with schematics (electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, and relays)
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns
• Experience with troubleshooting (diagnostics, problem-solving, etc.)
• Experience with reading mechanical drawings (hydraulics, pneumatics)
• The ability to read, write and understand the English language and have basic math skills in order to satisfactorily complete job requirements.
