Manufacturing Janitor/Commercial Cleaner – McCordsville, IN

Southwark Metal Manufacturing, McCordsville Division, is growing and looking to add a Janitor to our 2^nd shift.

The ideal Manufacturing Janitor/Commercial Cleaner must possess manual talent, an eye for detail and cleanliness, and respect for safety precautions and rules. Previous experience in Manufacturing or Commercial Cleaning is a plus.

Hours: Monday – Friday from 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM |overtime as needed

Responsibilities:

• Wipe down surfaces, including countertops, fixtures, glass, mirrors, windows, and furniture.

• Picking up and taking out trash around the facility.

• Replenish towels, soaps, and toilet paper rolls.
• Sweep, wet mop, and vacuum as needed or scheduled.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners.
• Remove snow from sidewalks using snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow-melting chemicals as needed
• Cleaning employee spaces and breakroom restroom facilities.
• Performs all tasks as trained for the proper use and application of products and PPE.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Clean and maintain cleaning tools at the end of each day.
• Any other duties that the supervisor may assign.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, push and pull at least 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, squat, and frequently lift throughout a shift.
