The education of contractors and inside salespersons is paramount to promoting understanding of how to make systems as efficient as possible as well as addressing the issues of the shifting HVAC marketplace. Southwark Metal is proud to offer our customers a comprehensive online and in-person training program to help them learn and grow their business. Launched originally in the spring of 2012 and reconfigured in 2025, Southwark’s “University” has already educated over 1,000 contractors in classes hosted by our customers all across the US.
Southwark University currently offers three in-person training courses, taught by our instructor who has over 30 years of experience in the business. Course descriptions for all of our classes can be found on this page. Each class is accredited to grant continuing education credits to NATE technicians. The classes are also approved with granting CEUs in some states and municipalities that have HVAC contractor licensing requirements. For specifics on our course accreditations, please contact a Southwark sales representative. Included with the course are bound booklets and duct calculators for all participants. There is no charge to Southwark customers for hosting the class. If you are interested in hosting an in-person training class, please contact a Southwark sales representative for our trainer’s availability and/or for submitting an official Training Request Form. Trainings are booked on a first come, first served basis and scheduled based on mutual availability.
In addition, in 2026 Southwark launched Southwark University Online, which provides online training courses at no cost with the creation of a user account. These courses are available for beginners as well as seasoned HVAC professionals to take at the convenience of their schedules and locations. Visit www.southwarkuniversity.com if you wish to register or learn more about our virtual offerings.
