Industrial Mechanic – Philadelphia, PA

Southwark Metal Manufacturing, Philadelphia Division (located in Northeast Philadelphia) is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team!

The ideal Industrial Maintenance Mechanic must possess manual dexterity, an eye for detail and problem-solving, knowledge of electrical components, mathematics, mechanical amplitude, and respect for safety precautions and rules.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Ensure work area is clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
• Adhere to common safety practices including the wearing of protective equipment as required.
• Perform repairs on production equipment.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager

Requirements:

• Experience with product manuals (reading and applying knowledge to make repairs)
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns
• Experience with reading mechanical drawings (hydraulics, pneumatics)
• The ability to read, write and understand the English language and have basic math skills in order to satisfactorily complete job requirements.
• Experience with troubleshooting (diagnostics, problem solving, etc.)
• Experience with basic electrical systems (starters, fuses, contacts, relays)
